It would seem like this one could be fleshed out quite a bit more. This is pretty important for most Wikis, especially for places where people are going to need to be able to get up and going quickly.
I'm trying to write a simple, How to..' on wiki for users of retirement age, some of whom may even be new to computers. I would have thought, in fact hoped, there would be a simple, step by step guide for beginners here but so far I've found nothing. Some of the pieces are written in commerce-speak, contain management jargon which is quite specific to individual fields and a foreign language to older users.
So perhaps someone wth a good working knowledge of wiki could give us a hand here, bearing in mind that a lot of us need to be told the basics.

Have you seen this video www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dnL00TdmLY&feature=user on the real basics of a wiki.
